Do You Love the LORD With All Your Heart, Soul, Mind and Strength?

I know for most ,you do believe you do !!

But in reality , here are a few things I want to bring to the surface of this topic !!!

1. what is the function of a human heart ???

The heart is a myogenic muscular organ found in all animals with a circulatory system (including all vertebrates), which pumps blood throughout the blood vessels by repeated, rhythmic contractions. The term cardiac (as in cardiology) means "related to the heart" and comes from the Greek καρδιά, kardia, for "heart".

The vertebrate heart is principally composed of cardiac muscle and connective tissue. Cardiac muscle is an involuntary striated muscle tissue found only in this organ and responsible for the ability of the heart to pump blood. The average human heart, beating at 72 beats per minute, will beat approximately 2.5 billion times during an average 66 year lifespan. It weighs approximately 250 to 300 grams (9 to 11 oz) in females and 300 to 350 grams (11 to 12 oz) in males.[1]

The human heart has a mass of between 250 and 350 grams and is about the size of a fist.

[9] It is located anterior to the vertebral column and posterior to the sternum[10].

It is enclosed in a double-walled sac called the pericardium. The superficial part of this sac is called the fibrous pericardium. This sac protects the heart, anchors its surrounding structures, and prevents overfilling of the heart with blood.

The outer wall of the human heart is composed of three layers. The outer layer is called the epicardium, or visceral pericardium since it is also the inner wall of the pericardium. The middle layer is called the myocardium and is composed of cardiac muscle which contracts. The inner layer is called the endocardium and is in contact with the blood that the heart pumps[11]. Also, it merges with the inner lining (endothelium) of blood vessels and covers heart valves.[12]

The human heart has four chambers, two superior atria and two inferior ventricles. The atria are the receiving chambers and the ventricles are the discharging chambers. The pathway of blood through the human heart consists of a pulmonary circuit

[13] and a systemic circuit. Deoxygenated blood flows through the heart in one direction, entering through the superior vena cava into the right atrium and is pumped through the tricuspid valve into the right ventricle before being pumped out through the pulmonary valve to the pulmonary arteries into the lungs. It returns from the lungs through the pulmonary veins to the left atrium where it is pumped through the mitral valve into the left ventricle before leaving through the aortic valve to the aorta.[14]HYPERLINK \l "cite_note-14"[15]

So as we can see , clearly we cant love anyone ,least alone Jesus ,with the human heart !!! it neither feels, nor thinks !! In fact it is not capable of any emotion what so ever !!

I can hear the silence in the room !!

Let's go a little further and examine another part of the human .

*THE BRAIN* Yes I said the Brain !!! now lets see the function ;

Human Brain ;

The human brain is the center of the human nervous system. It has the same general structure as the brains of other mammals, but is larger than expected on the basis of body size among other primates.[1]HYPERLINK \l "cite_note-Brain-num-1"[2] Estimates for the number of neurons (nerve cells) in the human brain range from 80 to 120 billion.[2]HYPERLINK \l "cite_note-2"[3] Most of the expansion comes from the cerebral cortex, especially the(( frontal lobes)) , which are associated with " EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONS " SUCH AS (( SELF-CONTROL )) , (( PLANNING )) , (( REASONING)) , AND ABSTRACT THOUGHT !!! The portion of the cerebral cortex devoted to vision is also greatly enlarged in human beings, and several cortical areas play specific roles in language, a skill that is unique to humans.

There you have it !!!! the man's (( HEART )) IS HIS MIND !!!!

SO IN OTHER WORDS TO REALLY LOVE , ONE MUST MAKE AN EXECUTIVE DISSION !!!!

Do You Love the LORD With All Your Heart, Soul, Mind and Strength?

Mark 12:30.....'And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.'

Virtually all Christians know this verse and are happy to recite it. But are they really keeping it? Do their lives show the fruit of this verse? What does it mean to love the LORD with all your heart, mind, soul and strength? I'll tell you what it means. It means that we MUST give our all for Christ. Did you notice that word 'must'? Do you realize that this is a Commandment? It's not a suggestion as many "Christians" would have you believe, but a Commandment! And Jesus said it is the first Commandment. In other words it is the first thing that should be on our minds each and every day. Does Jesus leave anything out in this statement? No, He includes every part of your being.

Do you love the LORD with all your heart, soul, mind and strength? If you are only giving some of your time to Jesus, then you are breaking this Commandment. There must be nothing or no one that we spend more time with than with God. Is God REALLY first in your life? Because that is what this Commandment demands. Anything short of full commitment to Him is not enough.

I know of so many professing Christians that spend more time watching tv, or playing sports or reading novels than with God. I know people who spend more time gossiping than reading the Word of God. Do you know why I call them 'professing' Christians? Because their lives show their faith to be false, and they are not real Christians.

Psalm 73:25.....'there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.'

Can you truly say to God that there is nothing on this earth you desire more than Him? Can you? Does your life show that you desire nothing more than Him? Are you growing in your faith each day, or are you continuing in your old way of life? Friend, we should be separating ourselves from the things of this world. Jesus is coming soon, and everything in this world will be burned up. Please, you don't want to be burned up with it.

Jesus should be on our minds constantly. We should be seeking God's will for our lives everyday. Please don't believe in this false teaching of "believe and you will be saved". The devils believe, but are they saved? No! Believing is the very beginning of your new walk with Jesus. That's the easy part, the hard part comes next..... Matthew 16:24.....'Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.'

We must deny ourselves! When was the last time you suffered for Jesus? Have you ever suffered for Him, or are you too busy pleasing others and yourself? This is a tough message, but it's the truth. Don't listen to those who say that you must get a good 'balance' in your life. Get a balance!! Where does it say that in the Bible? No, it says you must give your ALL for Jesus. Your all means everything, your time, your money, your job, your house, your friends, your family, you must be ready to give it ALL up for Him. Would you be willing to give up everything you have for Jesus? I hope so!
