What shall it profit

Don't kid yourself! Money CAN buy;
Diamonds, but NOT love!
Houses, but NOT homes!
F...arms, but NOT families!
Holidays, but NOT happiness!
Pleasure, but NOT Satisfaction!
Possessions, but NOT peace!
Judas spent a great amount of his time with the Lord Jesus Christ even seeing first hand the wonderful things Our Lord said and done, yet he did not believe thus he followed his own self-centered desires causing him to betray the sinless Son of God for a mere 30 pieces of silver!
The bible says, "What shall it profit a person if they shall gain the whole world and LOSE their own soul?" (Mark 8:36) the answer is NOTHING!
Countries like ours are filled with people who have all the material comforts they could desire, together with none material things such as families and friends, yet they experience an empty feeling, a void inside them which no matter what they do or get is never filled or satisfied. This void or vacuum is a God shaped one, and a person will never be truly content or at peace until they know and experience Him and His Spirit of love and truth in themselves!!
We cannot be filled with the love of God until we deal with our issue of SIN.
Our sins have separated us (Isaiah 59 :2) from our creator and every attempt to receive satisfaction an peace while ignoring our problem of sin will fail, but while we were still sinners Christ died for us (Romans 5: 8) and if we turn away from our sins and place our trust in the sinless lamb of God <JESUS>< believing that He paid the debt we could not pay we will receive forgiveness of sins, eternal life and the peace that passes all understanding!!!
Jesus said, "Truly, truly, i say unto you, he that believeth on me has everlasting life (John 6: 47)

How Satan gain control over an idle mind

How Satan Gains Control Of The Mind   There are five ways we give control of our minds to Satan: First, by not daily meditating on God's word. Second, by deliberately considering and living out sin in one's mind. Third, through willful ignorance of God's truth's and moral absolutes. Fourth, by accepting any suggestion in the mind as if from God without questioning or checking to see if it lines up with God's Word or past light of God. Fifth, by deliberately blanking one's mind so as to receive suggestions from evil spirits. James 4:7  states, "Submit therefore to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you." God has a purpose and a plan for each of our lives. God’s Word commands us: Ephesians 5:15-17  "Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men, but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is." Each of the above points we cou...

Honoring God in the home

Evening Devotional Reading May 23, 2016 From That I May Know Him Honoring God in the Home      Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Colossians 3:16. {TMK 149.1}      This is what we need in our households. There is in it no fault-finding, no harshness; but peace, and joy, and rest in the Lord. . . . God calls for loving service. He calls upon parents to speak lovingly and tenderly to their children. Let them see that you think they help you. Give them responsibilities to bear, small ones at first, and larger ones as they grow older. Never, never, let them hear you say of them, "They hinder me more than they help me.". . .  {TMK 149.2}      How many there are who forget that the home is a school in which children are trained to work either for Christ or Satan. Fathers and mothers, reme...
